Thanks for visiting our web site. I hope you're surviving this brutal summer. I've been thinking that this would've been the time to be doing a tour of northern Scandinavia or perhaps Iceland, but we will be in western Canada and North Dakota coming up which is the next best thing.

"Follow Your Heart" remains high in the Bluegrass Unlimited charts, thanks to you radio people and those of you requesting things from radio people. When things settle down in the fall I have plans to get back in the studio to record a new CD for Rebel. Tentative title: "Chris Jones & The Nightdrivers -- Their New CD" Do you like it? I think it's simple, informative, and lends itself to all sorts of cover art concepts.

Look for the new release of two instructional videos for Musicians' Workshop: "Creating Guitar Solos For Bluegrass Songs" and "Creating Guitar Solos For Banjo Instrumentals". Both were recorded in Austin, Texas, with my wife, Sally Jones playing rhythm and singing harmony. Sam Jones (brother, and creator of this web site) and Paula Effle provided lodging and donuts, and Paula provided important technical assistance to producer Dan Huckabee. The most exotic location we'll be heading this year will be Lithuania in early number November for a music festival. That will be our only overseas touring until the year 2000. I hope we'll see a lot of you at IBMA in November.
