In August, after a two-year delay, the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) declassified over 300 documents relating to human rights violations in Honduras during the 1980s. However, the documents are of little value in prosecuting the 184 cases of forced disappearances and other human rights abuses attributed to the military during that period.
